January 2007 Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer Partners,

Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I thank the Lord for the blessings He has showered upon us. Most of all, I am thankful for the blood of Christ that cleansed me from my sin and wrote my name in the Lamb’s book of life. What an opportunity we have as believers to tell others that they too can have a home in heaven! We must do it with an urgency, however, because the Lord is coming back soon (I Thess. 4:16-18).

Praise the Lord for a new year in which to serve Him. Sara and I had a wonderful month of December traveling to Ohio and North Carolina and spending precious time with our families. We were also able to celebrate our first Christmas together as a married couple. Thank you to all those who sent us special cards and gifts for the holidays. How good God has been to us!

We ask that you would continue to pray for us as we travel to meetings in North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania during the month of February. Also, please pray for Sara as she has started her student teaching on January 22 continuing through February 16. I also ask for your prayers for me as I call new churches for meetings to finish up our deputation. The Lord has been so gracious in supplying nearly 50% of our support. Our desire is to leave for the field of Perú by the fall of this year.
