January/February 2010 Prayer Letter
Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
Great is thy faithfulness!
What a comfort it is to me to think of
how great and faithful God is! (Lamentations
3:23b) It is so wonderful to serve a God whose
faithfulness is great. I am so thankful for His
faithfulness which encourages us as believers to
greater heights of faithfulness in our own
Christian lives.
MINISTRY UPDATES:
The Ladies Conference in
January went well with 150+ ladies in
attendance. Sara taught a class on wisdom and a
dessert workshop. It was definitely a busy week,
but we believe that God used it in the lives of
each lady in attendance.
-On Sunday,
February 7th, we had a special Picture
Day at the church, with each family in
attendance receiving a free professional photo.
God blessed in a special way with
131 in attendance and 12 professions of
faith. Many people that came were
visitors from the English classes that we have
been holding on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at
the church. How exciting to see God using
this ministry to bring folks in!
Prayer Requests:
-
We
need to purchase a vehicle in the near
future. Please pray that the Lord would meet
this need and help us to find a good,
reliable car.
-
Please
pray for the Lord’s leading as we seek His
will about future ministry here in Arequipa.
-
Please
pray for the Church Growth classes we will
be having March 2 & 3.
We
were excited to have Robert’s dad (our sending
pastor), Robert Stover, Sr. visit us from
February 9-18. We thank the Lord for a sending
pastor who has such a great love for God and
missions. He had the opportunity to preach in 6
different churches (while Robert translated).
Through the help of family and friends, he was
able to give a generous gift to each church and
to purchase 6,000 Chick tracts which we passed
out and gave to the different churches. Please
pray that the Lord will use these tracts to
bring many souls to the Savior!
Of course
“Grandpa” enjoyed spending a good bit of time
with his 2 grandsons. It truly was a precious
time!
Thank you for holding the
“lifeline” of prayer and finances for us as we
serve here in Peru!
