March/April 2011 Prayer Letter
Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
VISION UPDATE:
The month of April we have had a special
emphasis on evangelism at Vision. Sunday
evenings, during our regular service, we showed
short evangelistic videos and encouraged folks
to bring their lost friends and family to the
services. God blessed with a full house these
Sunday nights, and we
have seen several choose to accept the Lord or
to get assurance of their salvation.
Praise the Lord! Several of our people gave
specials for the first time, including one of my
wife’s piano students playing her first special
and also a new children’s choir singing and
reciting Scripture they learned in their class.
We are excited to see Johnny
with a desire to help with the music. He has
begun to lead congregational singing on
Wednesday evenings. Please pray for him!
ELECTIONS:
On Sunday, April 10, Perú held presidential
elections. The top 2 candidates will have a
run-off on June 5th. There are some concerns
about one candidate and what it could mean for
the future of Perú as a whole and for
missionaries here, if he is elected. We know
that all of this is in the Lord’s hands because,
“the king’s heart is in the hand of the
Lord...” (Pr. 21:1). Please remember Perú
and it’s leaders in your prayers!
NEW BUILDING
PROJECT: We just celebrated our
1-year anniversary working in the Vision Baptist
Church on April 11th. In our time here, we have
seen the Lord do many wonderful things, and we
give Him all the praise for that. This July,
Vision will celebrate it’s 3rd anniversary. As
the church continues to grow, we are really
seeing the need for a larger meeting place. We
currently rent a small building that has an
auditorium, a nursery, and a small make-shift
children’s area on the roof. It would be such a
blessing to have more classroom space! In the
area where we work, an adequate-sized piece of
property and building would cost around $35,000.
Although this seems a colossal amount to a
church full of people who make around
$300/month, we know
God is able to meet the need. Please pray
for our people to give. Please help us pray that
the Lord would supply the funds and the exact
location. If you would like to give toward this
need, please send all donations to MWBM, P.O.
Box 519, Braselton, GA 30517, attn. Robeert
Stover (building project). Anything you could
give would be a great blessing to the work here.
FAMILY
CONFERENCE: May 11-15, we look
forward to holding our annual Family Conference.
Bro. Joe Kotvas, missionary in Lima, Perú, and
his wife will be with us for the conference.
Please pray for the Lord to work during this
time. We’re so excited to see how He has worked
in so many church families in this past year.
Many have accepted Christ and made the decision
to serve Him. We see God continuing to work,
as just last week, Rómulo, Meri’s
husband, accepted Christ. She has
hosted our Thursday night Bible study in Juan
XXIII for several months now. Praise the Lord
for her husband’s salvation!
Thank you so
much for your prayers and support. We could not
be here without you!

the Savior,
