March/April 2008 Prayer Letter
Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers and labor of
love. God is so good to supply us with churches
and
individuals that hold up our name both
prayerfully and financially. Our ministry would
not be possible
without your prayers and financial support, and
we would like to thank you from the bottom of
our heart.
We echo the words of the Apostle Paul in
Philippians 1:3 when he says, “I thank my God
upon every
remembrance of you.”
Looking to Leave in June:
In our last prayer letter, we
asked God’s people to pray with us for 20 more
supporting churches. The Lord
has marvelously supplied us with 6 new
supporting churches and with three churches
increasing their
giving. What a blessing! We are so excited to
see God work and answer prayer in this way.
Please keep
praying for the remaining churches. We
anticipate leaving for Perú at the end of June.
Blessings:
The Lord has blessed us with tremendous
meetings over the last several weeks. Our recent
travels have led
us to the states of Tennessee, North Carolina,
South Carolina, Kentucky, and Ohio. Josiah
continues to
grow, and it seems like everywhere we go he has
a toothless smile to flash at everyone. We thank
the Lord
for the son that God has blessed us with.
During this past week, we had the opportunity to
attend the Macedonia Regional Conference at New
Hope
Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC. The Holy Spirit
was at work as the Word of God was preached,
missionary
testimonies were given, and missions concepts
were taught. This conference was a wonderful
time to get our
spiritual batteries recharged.
Plans:
We plan on buying our plane tickets to
Perú in the next week or so. We are so thankful
to Calvary Baptist
Tabernacle in Knoxville, TN for their
sacrificial gift toward our tickets. We lack
only $500 toward having
this need met. Please pray for God to supply
this need and for wisdom for us as we choose the
exact day for
departure. There is much to do as we prepare for
our international move.
Prayer:
Please pray for us as we travel
during these last few months here. We will be
saying goodbye to family
members, visiting churches, and going for our
departure interview at Macedonia. Through it
all, what we
truly need is the power of God on our lives.
Please pray that God would give me a fresh touch
from Heaven
as I preach His Word and present the work God
has given us to do. Yours
Humbly in Christ,
Robert, Sara, and Josiah Stover |
