September/October 2010 Prayer Letter
Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,
Church Updates:
Missions
Conference: We had a great time
at the end of August during our church’s first
Missions Conference with different missionaries
visiting each service.
Our faith promise commitment was just over $100
a month. With this money we are able to support
6 missionaries in 4 different countries. Praise
the Lord!
Ladies Bible Study:
We have been encouraged by a good number of
ladies coming out for a bi-monthly meeting to
study God’s Word and to participate in other
activities and crafts. Please pray for Sara as
she works in planning and teaching during these
times.
|
Pastor’s
School: October 5-8, we
had the annual Pastor’s School with
pastors attending from all over Peru as
well as Chile, Venezuela, and Bolivia.
Pastor Austin Gardner brought forth a
series of powerful messages out of
Colossians on the freedom we have in the
Lord Jesus Christ. The week was a
special blessing to me and many other
pastors as well. |
Children’s Classes:
The roof repairs have been made, and the
children’s classes are now being held each
Sunday morning. Please pray for Jhumi, a
teenage girl who is teaching the class and for
several other teenagers who are helping her.
Please also pray with us for more children to
come.
New Converts:
Several people have trusted Christ as Savior
this past month, including a dentist named
Claudio. Claudio was in
church this past Sunday for the first time and
is beginning to receive discipleship in his
home. We are excited to see his desire to grow
in the Lord! Also, Lucy, the
wife of a man in the church, accepted Christ and
has been coming faithfully to church. Thank you
for praying for her!
Please continue to pray for Luis’ salvation.
Each Saturday morning, we meet with him, and it
seems that he is getting closer to accepting
Christ. Please also keep praying for the
salvation of Jesús and
Otie.
Sending Church:
Due to some doctrinal changes in our
sending church and after receiving counsel from
my father who recently resigned as pastor of the
church, we have moved our church membership to
the Carrollton Baptist Temple in Carrollton, OH.
This decision received unanimous approval from
the executive board of MWBM. Our new sending
church information is:

Family: Joshua Thomas is
scheduled to make his arrival sometime towards
the end of November. Please pray for strength
for Sara and a safe delivery. Thank
you for your prayers and continued support. You
are a definite blessing to our ministry, and we
thank the Lord for each and every one of you!
Thank you so much for all you do to see souls
saved here in Perú!
Your Servants in Perú,
Robert, Sara, Josiah & Caleb Stover |
